Hello!
Welcome to YogART Pot Discussions Online!
This is a virtual space where you can view all poppet (pot puppet) videos and create your own virtual poppet from the comforts of your own home.
YogART Pot Discussions are a medley of videos thematically entwined embracing topics of a psychological and philosophical stock. Videos feature a poppet(s) as the main protagonist in order to accentuate a de-personalisation of content from their human condition. Further than that, they foster a situation whereby the viewer is implored to deliberate what are often very cerebral issues from a juvenile perspective - thus catalysing a more flexible strand of cognisance often afforded only to children.

About.
'The question is do I know who you are, do you know who I am, do we care about each other? Because if we do...together we can turn the world around.'
Harry Belafonte, The Muppet Show
Carla Easton works within the media of sculpture and video, utilising an aesthetic language of humour, pathos and childishness. In her work she explores hierarchies, YouTube and puppets, aiming to dismantle the problematic relationship between pop and art.
Born 1985, Scotland.
Carla got a BA (Hons) Sculpture from Edinburgh College of Art in 2007 before starting the MFA programme at Glasgow School of Art in 2009. Her video works have been exhibited in Scotland, Lithuania, Germany and Estonia. She used to be a keyboard player but has recently embraced the accordian.
